Job Summary:

The Mobile Boiler Fleet Manager is responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and logistical deployment of the company’s mobile boiler fleet. This role ensures that all units are properly maintained, compliant with regulatory standards, and available for deployment to meet customer needs. The Fleet Manager will also be responsible for coordinating with field service teams, managing fleet logistics, and optimizing operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Fleet Operations Management:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the mobile boiler fleet, ensuring all units are in optimal working condition and ready for deployment.

• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance fleet performance and efficiency.

• Coordinate the scheduling, dispatch, and routing of mobile boiler units to meet customer demands.

Maintenance and Compliance:

• Ensure all mobile boiler units are regularly inspected, maintained, and repaired according to manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.

• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.

• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including safety, environmental, and transportation laws.

• Manage the fleet’s preventive maintenance program to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.

Logistics and Deployment:

• Work closely with the sales and operations teams to plan and execute the deployment of mobile boilers to customer sites.

• Optimize logistical operations to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery and setup of units.

• Manage relationships with transportation providers and oversee the logistics of moving mobile boilers between sites.

Team Leadership:

• Lead and manage a team of technicians and field service staff responsible for the maintenance, deployment, and operation of the mobile boiler fleet.

• Provide training, guidance, and performance evaluations to ensure high levels of competence and productivity.

• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.

Inventory and Resource Management:

• Manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment necessary for the operation and maintenance of the mobile boiler fleet.

• Monitor and control expenses related to fleet operations, including fuel, repairs, and logistics costs.

• Ensure that all resources are used efficiently and effectively to support fleet operations.

Process Improvement:

• Continuously evaluate fleet operations and maintenance processes to identify opportunities for improvement.

• Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance fleet performance, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.

• Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes to ensure the fleet remains competitive and compliant.

Customer Relations:

• Collaborate with the customer service team to ensure a seamless customer experience from order placement to deployment and return.

• Address any issues or concerns related to fleet operations, maintenance, or performance in a timely and professional manner.

• Provide technical support and expertise to customers as needed.

Qualifications:

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in fleet management, operations management, or a related field,preferably with experience in managing mobile boilers or similar equipment.

• Proven experience in managing teams and coordinating complex logistics.

Skills:

• Strong technical knowledge of boiler systems and maintenance practices.

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements related to fleet operations.

Other Requirements:

• Ability to travel as required to oversee fleet operations at various locations.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Flexibility to work in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.

Working Conditions:

• Primarily works in an office setting with regular visits to the field to oversee fleet operations.

• May be required to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, to meetoperational needs or during peak deployment periods.

• Exposure to varying weather conditions and industrial environments while on-site.
