Job Summary:


The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all warehouse operations to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate handling of inventory, storage, and distribution. This role involves supervising warehouse staff, implementing operational policies, ensuring safety standards, and optimizing processes to improve productivity and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, shipping, and inventory management.

• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure efficient and accurate workflow.

• Monitor and report on warehouse performance metrics, including order accuracy, inventory levels, and turnaround times.

Team Leadership:

• Recruit, train, and manage warehouse staff, ensuring team alignment with company goals and objectives.

• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and development opportunities for team members.

• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and high performance.

Inventory Management:

• Ensure accurate inventory records through regular audits and cycle counts.

• Manage stock levels to meet business needs while minimizing excess inventory and storage costs.

• Coordinate with procurement and sales teams to forecast inventory needs and plan for seasonal fluctuations.

Safety and Compliance:

• Enforce safety standards and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.

• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to warehouse operations, including health and safety, environmental, and labor laws.

• Conduct regular safety training and drills for warehouse staff.

Process Improvement:

• Continuously analyze and improve warehouse processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.

• Implement and maintain warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technology solutions to streamline operations.

• Collaborate with other departments to optimize supply chain and logistics processes.

Budgeting and Cost Control:

• Develop and manage the warehouse budget, including labor, equipment, and supply costs.

• Identify and implement cost-saving measures without compromising service quality or safety.

• Monitor expenses and ensure that operations stay within budget.

Qualifications:

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in warehouse management or a similar role, with a track record of success in managing operations and leading teams.

• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.

Skills:

• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

• Proficient in data analysis and reporting.

• Solid understanding of inventory management principles and best practices.

• Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Working Conditions:

Primarily works in a warehouse setting with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels. May be required to work extended hours during peak seasons or to meet critical deadlines.
